Price for Rear Stainless steel brace

Featured Replies

Ok, done a costing using Stainless steel parts (316 L grade) your looking at

Just a quick addition... i met up with John J today who has the development brace.. and it does look very nice in its stainless steel glory

What happened about the Octavia one? Has that been shelved?

I'm still not sure how it's fixed, even after looking at the pics. Do you need to cut any holes?

Nick, Jimmy has the prototype..

Can bring it to Anglesey if Mike's still working on the finished article :)

Octy one almost signed off, but when i discovered that the FUBY DIDN'T have one at all i made an all out effort to finish.

Do you have to drill holes, er nope!

Bolts on to weight bearing bulk heads eiether side of the seat (See Photo). I was chatting to John and not in any hurry but i think we put it on in about 35 Mins. With the "Ears" fitted the item its self should come off and on very quickly.

My thoughts are to modd the design so you don't need a spanner to put on/remove.

Stainless Octy Est is my next thought, but Seat Leon boys calling as well so see how time goes.

Cheers

Hmmmmmm.......Very Niche market i think. If you can get me 10 or more Est vRS owners who are WILLING to part with hard cash than i will look into it. So far only firm orders i got are from Seat Leon pilots.

Cheers

Sorry Mike not noticed this thread before.

As mike as said no drilling of anysort needed. You simply use holes that are already there. Can be all removed if back to stock is needed, like when selling up. Does not leave anysigns except for a cross split either side of the boot in the carpet. The bar can also be removed (leaving the fitting brackets in place) if boot space is needed, not that it takes up much.

Car performed well at Angelsey. I do think the rear brace makes a difference.

Think a good detailed how to guide is needed for fitting and maybe posted before hand just to show how it is fitted.

Any pics of it in situ? I'm curious if it would interfere with all the ICE in the boot.

 It would with mine because my sub box sits right back against the rear seats - I could always have a rethink and move my L brackets forward a bit to allow the brace to sit there. :D

But then the window through the floor will be blocked.... Oh dear. :D Maybe I just block the hole and get some proper neons in there instead.

faboka vRS!!!!!!!!! That is a very disgusting signature picture.
