Ahhhh, thank god!!!!

My worry is that I havent seen it in the metal and it ssems to look so different from photo to photo! My fingers are now properly crossed! :)

Seriously, you will love it. When I ordered mine it was 50/50 with the muscovado and I still kind of wish I'd ordered the steel grey. It really, really suits the yeti. It's a 'cool' colour...

Regarding the colour, it is a mid grey, certainly lighter than the anthracite, but not as light as the aqua.

Initial thought on the car is just how competent it feels. The relationship between the ride, the handling, the controls, the engine, etc feels just right.

Adopting a Yeti is definitely a good move

No off road button John?

My edit.......

Opps my mistake, the 1st blank space under the radio is for Park assist and the 2nd button is for front parking sensor..

Yes the Cappucinno metallic paint looks silver in bright sunlight... through mushroom... to frothy coffee in shade! Lovely

Very pleased so far  ...The heated seats are fantastic and they are so comfy its like being in an armchair

The ride is stunning- potholes- what potholes... it must be the 17" tyres!

A mondeo did a triple take at a roundabout yesterday which made my other half smile! :giggle:

Hi Krooked,

sorry to dissapoint but ours is a Cappucinno!

Its the metallic paint  which gives it a silver look in full sun- maybe I get the best of both worlds?

(No disrespect to Jlwah intended  - yours looks fantastic too! )

Think you need front mudflaps at least !

Its got front and rear ones fitted :S

They must be city mudflaps... :giggle: I think we need bigger ones...here in the wondrous but muddy :D Worcestershire countryside!

Ah ! Now I look more closely - yep. They must protect a good couple of square inches of the bodywork !?

I think Yeti's look much better in real life than they do in photos, I saw one in the town centre yesterday and they really have a lot of presence despite not being that big really.

I TOTALLY agree with you. Photos just DO NOT do them justice. They look a bit 'normal' in photos but look so much chunkier and more unusual in the raw

After seeing Lady Pees photos from Bromyard Downs I almost forgot to look at the car!! Having lived in Bromyard and walked the dogs over the Downs I was filled with nostalgia and memories of it all... ...then reality returned and i remembered the car I am waiting for...

And that reminded me of mid-Wales and steep hills and snow and mud and muck and hairpins and I was restored to normality.

Well done on the pics. Well done on the location. Well done on your Welsh comments on other threads (wasted COMPLETELY on this expat Scot). Well done on the choice of car. er Well done. Full Stop.

Thank you very much Freshacre :sun: I won't say ddiolch now I know you're a scottie!

Your kind comments are much appreciated

It is lovely over the Downs... but then again what as kids we used to call "Hell Fire Pass" past the road to Cwm Cywarch valley and the Aarons with the climbers hut and the waterfalls and tin mines ...near Dinas up to Llanymawddwy is a good test for a Yeti!? or up over Cader at Cross Foxes? or out towards harlech at Castell Y Ber...There are too many wonderful drives and vistas in your part of the world- wistful sigh from me

Lady P,

Areithi Cymraeg?

If you want a good test for the Yeti, either the road from here (Llanidloes) over the top and through Dylife to Machynlleth, or the Abergwesyn Pass. They are both brilliant!!!

Is the pub on the Downs still open? We used to live in Worcester and our daughter still lives there.

Did you buy your Yeti from Powick, and if so, how did you find them?

Sadly, no chance; she has decided to upgrade from a Beemer to a Merc, so poor GG has to have a MPV.emoticon-0106-crying.gifemoticon-0106-crying.gif

Ideally I would like something that will terrify other motorists as much as the Mk1 Previa does, but the only thing I can think of with enough seats is the LandRover Defender Station Wagon, and I am too broad in the shoulder to turn the wheel in that without opening the window!!!
