As I have ordered the same car as you have, but not getting it until July, then I would like that. It may defeat the point of the thread though for sticklers. Your shout.

Maybe just add it to the members photo post at the top of this forum? That'll keep this one on topic. :)

11.06 and still no photos :( Gutted.

That makes sense. I'll keep an eye out for them. Thanks

I have to agree Tom but having said that - if any had posted first thing this morning - I'd have called them mad and said they should be out enjoying it!

I reckon there has been a bit of bluffing going on. However to ease the pain her is mine. Ex Demo Elegance (59 Plate) with 1500 on the clock, Space save and park assist (which is great). The best motor I will ever have B)

So you've now fallen into the trap of defeating the point of your thread

Be patient - somebody will post one soon

Ok, here goes.

Steel Grey, 170 Elegance, picked up at 10.00 am this morning

Had an relaxing 200 mile drive back from Middlesex, at between 60 and 75 mph and got a maxidot indicated 49.3 mpg average, which I didn't think was bad.

Edit: realised I'd posted same picture twice, so replaced it with another one.

thanks John - can't believe how close Steel Grey looks to Aqua Blue from these shots.

That's lovely looking. And I'm rather reassured by it's appearance as I've got exactly that model and colour on order (even down to the black rails) - and from Marlborough as well. Drive the Deal?

I note you opted for collecting from them - does this mean they reduce/remove the delivery charge? If so, I think I'll do that as well...

Any chance of some pictures of the interior?

Cheers

Yes, it was through DtD.

We collected it as they gave us some speal about having to sign the finance paperwork in person. I got the impression that we could have done that prior and then had the car delivered, but we decided to do it all on the same day as we stayed over with relations not too far away.

The car did have a full tank of fuel on collection, so maybe that's what they did to make up for not delivering it.

I'm close to ordering another Octavia and I may well use them again, but I think I will insist they deliver the car (by trailer).

I'll try and get some interior shots if SWMBO gets back before it's dark or if not, I'll do it tomorrow.

Should add that the boot is nowhere near as small as has been made out in other threads. I actually now regret not ordering the spare wheel!

Thanks for the photo's John, looks very nice the steel grey. Not a colour I have actually seen in the metal as yet.

Regards,

TP

Thanks.

If it had been my choice, I probably would have gone for Aqua, but they had a steel grey one in the showroom and SWMBO decided that was the colour for her.

Im really really hoping that its just those specific photos that make it look that pale. :S

Enjoy.

I've seen steel grey in the raw, sat next to the aqua blue and it's a completely different colour. Much darker than in the photos. A really, really classy colour...
