looking at buying one of these but was wondering weather anyone has had any problems with beam pattern for MOT etc. and has there been any burning/melting problems running these with the plastic headlamp lenses?

They need to be auto leveling for MOT, and are in fact illegal if they don't auto level. Search should reveal what has been done by others.

Everyone will tell you not to do it, because they are illegal, the glare affects other drivers etc...

I have some fitted to mine, and I dont get flashed by other drivers, and have passed many a police car (normal and traffic) and never been pulled. Even passed an MOT...

But they do make such a diiference

And don't forget the headlamp washers...

Please please not in reflector lens headlights...

They are not designed for reflector headlights. I don't care about the washers, the self-levelling as long as they are fitted in projector lenses.
