Very nice use of grammer :dull:

and spelling :dull:

Slight leak from rocker cover - In my experience , someone not AU FAIT with torque on nuts - so rocker cover gets tightened too much- rear windows only work on front switch - switch or wiring problem - and Cav electrics are overly electrionic .

Problem I'd have is if rocker cover overtightened - has enough attention been paid to torque settings ,as it looks to have been modified by DIY NUT .

Reverse has been true every time I've met a rocker cover oil leak.

Meh ........................

I hope the seller is dyslexic, although I fear that may not be the case

Bloody hell blast from the past: forgotten all about this one: are there any originals left? If i can remember: 2.0 16v Turbo: 204 bhp and 4x4 transmission. If I was to get a Cav though it would have to be the V6. Are there any of those left also: What a Q car that thing was. Best fast Cav of all was the Mark 2 SRi 130. Dad had one and can still remember the buzz of its injection system, the indution noise and the fact it seemed so bloody quick!

I think the setting really shows the car off to its best, especially the one with the washing hanging in front of it :giggle:

I had a Cav Gsi2000 back in 1997, great car, but you'll pick up a much cleaner example than that !

I'd avoid lol

Haha totally agree, it seemed really rapid for 130bhp, ours was a J-plate (circa 92?). Glad i'm not imagining it!

Edit: J plate was mk3... never spotted the "mark 2" bit... i'll get my coat

That would be the 150 bhp 16v : another rapid Vauxhall engine. Vauxhall engines were always better than Fords then.

i had the 150bhp redtop in my calibra and loved it until it sadly broke the timing belt. Would have loved the calibra 4x4 turbo but i'd have probably killed myself or been banned for life.

Same here. I was lucky enough to inherit a Cavalier Turbo as a company car in 1995. Definitely a highlight of my car history. I even forgave it for losing all its water and leaving me stuck on the hard shoulder of the M5 one night. I had it for around six months until it was stolen from the car park of the flats where I was living at the time. It was recovered a few days later with only a broken screen, but when management found out that I had no secure parking it was swiftly transferred elsewhere :'( .

According to the Cavalier Turbo Owners Register there were 278 left on the road in 2006, with a further 125 declared SORN.

Maybe we should have a graveyard section on here :D

It was suggested recently that we had a section for forum members cars that were immaculate when sold to another forum member, who then wrote them off in an accident.

I've had 3 ex forum members cars from here...only one been written off though :D
