Has anybody ordered a vRS in the last couple of weeks and got their provisional build weeks yet?. I ordered mine last week and have been given a provisional build date of week 21. It just seems a bit of a long wait so i wanted to see if anyone else had similar lead times

Afraid I can't comment too much - I ordered a car that already had a build date of March 29th, week 13.

I'm about to order a vRS Estate and the dealer is quoting 12 weeks, but I suspect that'll change when they put the order into the system.

I don't need it until start of July so if it goes to about 14 weeks I won't be too concerned.

The dealers are quoting 12 weeks because that's how long they think it will be. Skoda are significantly scaling back production of the Octavia to coincide with the end of the German and UK scrappage deals. My factory order vRS took 15 weeks to arrive.

Placed an order for a scout on the 6th of March - just been informed that it has a build week of 21 - 24th May but may be pulled forward

spec is in my signature but here it is.......vrs candy white with maxidot, auto mirror/lights, rear parking sensors, curtain airbags, spare wheel and mats.

Hmm, its a similar spec to mine, but mines the DSG estate. I'm assuming they must go through batches of certain model variants, so while you get your hatchbacks early I might have to wait a bit longer while they fit out the estates with DSG boxes

The mats were a £55 option as per brochure

They might have been free in the price, I just know I'm paying £500 more than DTD. Part exchange/part finance were good with dealer.

My brother and I each ordered vRS estates on 30th January 2010; mine was scheduled for build in week 10 and my brother's in week 11. Mine was built on the Thursday of week 10 (i.e. 11 March) and my brother's the Monday of week 11 (i.e. 15 March) - so mine was just under six weeks to build date and my brother's just over six weeks. Both are now en route and the dealer tells me mine is in UK. Hoping to collect at Easter

mine was built same week as yours (week 10) informed by dealer this week it has left factory. what port in uk will it come into as i live in somerset?

hello everyone i ordered my vrs on the 19/2/2010 i rang the dealer on friday he said i should have it in the next 3 to 4 weeks hope he is right

I just rang my dealer to try and get a confirmation of the timeline etc for my Octavia SE 1.4TSi, as I was told at the start of March that it should be with them in 3 or 4 weeks, just rang again, said the car has a build week 15 (mid April) so should get it in May, which is a little bit different, after reading this site I though beginning of April was to optimistic to be honest, it was ordered on 16th Feb, so the slow down in production seems to have taken hold.

I ordered mine - a manual, petrol, anthracite grey vRS with black leather seats, rear parking sensors, auto-dimming mirror etc, spare wheel, maxidot and MDI - last Saturday at a dealership in south London. The dealer sighed when he looked at his computer and muttered something about the build taking place in week 18 with delivery being some time in early June "if I was lucky"! I'm still having second thoughts about ordering xenons and curtain air-bags though, but if I was to go ahead with these, it is in all likelihood that this would delay delivery time even further. The dealer mentioned that they have been absolutely inundated with orders towards the end of the scrappage scheme period as well as those like myself taking advantage of the VAT-free offer. I guess I'll just have to wait and see and trust that all is correct and hassle-free.

Placed an order for 1.4 TSi Elegance Estate yesterday. Was told anticipated build date around week 20 with delivery 2/3 weeks thereafter. Should get acknowledgement of order from factory either end this week or early next with firm build date. I am not too bothered about a few weeks slippage as I don't want the car till July anyway. I am however nervous about my engine choice as in a Golf it is a 5 month wait; I just hope Skoda hang on to their allocation!

All these people on here ordering and getting instant build dates confuses me somewhat. I ordered mine a month ago and still haven't been allocated a build slot. I have been assured however that it is strictly 2 weeks from build to delivery to Ireland.

I can assure you that I've already got my build date because I picked one already in the system (i.e. not a factory order from scratch)

The dealer managed to secure my car (hence my official order) on the 11th March, and he secured one with a week 13 build date (next week!) He reckons delivery date will be w/c 19th April

So from what you are saying thats 8 - 9 weeks? Outstanding delivery I would say. Ordered mine in Jan, granted I did intercept the order an add an option, but currently I am on 12 weeks now. Build next week hopefully but then still 3 weeks thereafter for actual delivery......... :'(

We ordered in the last week of January (1.4Tsi Elegance Estate, +MFSW) - car left the factory on wednesday, dealer says 3 weeks to get to them.

I added an option on mine and that prompted a build week of 19. Ordered 21st march.
