We have a 6 month old met silver furby Vrs that is going to the dealers next week to have a new front bumper as the paint is peeling off, this on top of the front grille that smashed when closing the bonnet (Skoda will not pay for that - reckon it's not a manufactures fault!) so we're over

Sorry to hear your tale of woe, don't remember anyone posting a similar problem. However, there are a lot of fabia owners on the board who may be able to help I'm sure.

Below both front wheel arches at the front is a small lip - about 3-4 inches wide - i'm sure that this was black plastic before - it's now silver (ie painted)

I recently had a new bumper fitted to my vRS as the paint was peeling off and the garage advised that my car had been in an accident as the bumper had been filled?? (I am the first owner and not crashed it??). I too noticed that on the new bumper the bottom lip under the bumper was now silver, and I'm sure it wasn't before, hence noticing, also, my front springs have also changed colour!!! The car goes back in on the 29th as I wasn't very impressed with the paint job.

The black plastic "spoilers" at the bottom of the wheelarch under the bumper are indeed black plastic.

Could well have been crashed as they have to get the car from the factory to the showroom. Who knows what's happened to it before you collect the keys

Had my car for four weeks now.

After 500 miles the turbo siezed, took a week to get a new one in from Germany.

Then 1000 miles later the engine warning light came on, faulty temperature sensor, still waiting for new one.

Apart from that I really like the car!

I have a black vRS but it looks like black plastic to me. Not painted.
