Us spec Fabia VRS?

Featured Replies

Does this exist? Were there any made/ imported to america?

Don't think the Fabia or Skoda are present in the US

Nope, Skoda are not allowed to import into America, VW won't have it, unless there are Skoda's with VW badges on over there, you never know?

No.

Interesting. I'd be surprised if that was the case. Whilst Skoda may cannibalise some of VW's sales, they would also steal customers from other brands thus increasing the overall market share for VAG.

I'd have thought it was more to do with the costs associated with entering a new market. All speculation though.

Skoda would be too up market for the states. [a] They get good MPG, and will go round corners faster than 5MPH without rolling over.

Seriously though I'm surprised that they are not allowed to sell over there: the Supurb would clean up there in my opinion as big, well built and comfortable.

Which is exactly why VW wouldn't want the extra competition!

Engines arent big enough for the yankees

Guess but the Jetta with the TDI is getting quite popular there!

They used to be sold in Canada IIRC , pre VW days mind you - the rear engined cars.

I spend a fair bit of time in the states and the biggest problem is finding diesel over there. 30 million choices of types of unleaded but a fair few stations dont stock diesel

America leads the way! :giggle:

But its not really. If it nicks 10 sales of other cars, and 4 of them are vw`s, the other 6 are "other" makes, the would be vw customers are still buying from the vag company anyway.

Matt

On this topic, I don't think that Seat sell into that market either - just VW Passat + VW Jetta + Audis except A3 and A2 - so probably not A1 either. Oh and some day vans and 4X4 pickups from South America - Amrok ?
