Would seeing your car left like this **** you off?!

Featured Replies

OK, so on my way back from dropping my mrs off at her aunties, i stopped buy a new local skoda dealer. It`s joint with another VW dealer, looks a bit mashed on the end imo, but still, my point being, if i were to put my car in for some work, i would be rather ****ed off to see it left like this

Maybe its just me, and thats normal practise, i`v just never seen it before.

how else are they going to leave it when they whip the gearbox out?,maybe leave the engine unsuported and the bonnet closed so it looks nice? :D

:giggle: I have no idea how things work, so at least thats the reason. But wouldnt it be a idea putting it inside? maybe i forget its a car and not a person

possibly, but if its awaiting parts, they probably push them outside on a nice day then back in at night, space is usually a premium in a garage these days

Thats it though, its all closed up (good friday), and as i left the heavens opened. It`s not the actual way its been left, but where and the fact i could sniff about it without anyone being there.

About par for the looking out for customers goods/customers .You'll find that ,for HSE reasons you can't get too close to your car in the garage ,but walk into your local supermarket - first of all ,look out for the little lady pushing a trolley stacked higher than she can see over .Then when you get to the rear of the store -where there's a notice "This is a Fire exit -don't block it ,you might need it some day " - you may find the exit path half blocked by a display unit .( I did ,and next to it the manager walking round with his ear glued to a mobile). :no I have advised their customer relations via e mail ,perhaps I should have taken a pic .

should really be inside if thats the case,i agree with your first post now :smirk:

So that area is open to the public, and the garage was closed? Bit shocking imo! Would be bad enough to leave it like that in a locked outdoor compound!

That wouldn't happen to be at Wayside Milton Keynes, would it? There was a Mk1 Golf cabrio left out there in exactly the same way a couple of weeks ago...

No, thats where my mate works, the golf is a member of staffs car iirc.

The car is in the car park, its blocked buy one of them little 3ft high gates to stop cars in and out, but its easy enough to walk round it, i was wondering about lookin at the various skodas for sale, as i arrived someone else had just finnished wondering about. No security guard or anyone to be seen, i was there for 10/15 min.

I walked up to the front of Rainworth Skoda after the Shark Performance Open Day last month, and was met by a bloody automated announcement saying I was being video'd - makes you feel instantly like an arch-criminal :S

LOL, that happened to me once at a local dealership, but when i tried to call them and any numbers on the notices to tell them a window was open no one answered or was bothered.

I was at a local VW dealer last week and it was chucking it down, went across their forecourt and all the boots/hatches on their new cars were open with the rain streaming in :dull:

Presumably checking how many litres they will hold :giggle:

If it's a Fabia mk1, not much.. it'd go up to the bottom of the door carriers and then leak into the door and out the normal drain holes from the inside! HA!

It's called "job security" . Just think how much they could charge the poor unsuspecting owner for all the electrical "gremlins" induced by the ongoing connector corrosion issues that are likely to appear years after !
