MonkeyBoy did mine, he was supposed to be helping but kind of took over and i couldnt keep up but from what i saw you need to do the following.

for the power cable:

take the wipers off the front window and take the plastic covering off for the bulk head area, take the top of the airbox off and remove the filter, also remove the pollen/carbon filter and take the housing for this off as well, you should be able to see a gromet in the bulk head that you can feed the power cable through. there is a plastic trunking running cables from this area to the battery, you can run the cable through this.

you'll need to take the glove box out to aid running the cable into the cabin.

next take the trim from the b pillar and sills off and run the power cable up one side and the RCA the other of the car.

HTH.

You don't need to actually remove the wiper blades. It can be done with them in place by lifting up the plastic panel but your arms will get scratched to buggery so I would recommend it.

There is enough room to run both the power and RCA cables down the same side , as you can put one at the very bottom of the floor and one very close to the top. With a couple of inches and part of the car between them you won't get any problems with interference and its much easier to only remove the trim on one side.

Quinten wrote a very good step by step guide with pics.

If you do a search in the ICE section for threads started by Quinten, you should find it :)

Edit: it's here, although as the thread title suggests, it isn't 56k dialup-friendly ;)

Im from peterborough i can help you if your close enough ??

Nearly finished now, just need to connect the ground for the amp, any suggestions? Everything else seems ok to this point, thanks for your help

Hi,

Is there anywhere to bolt the lead on(a grounding terminal or a spot for a bolt)? And yup, i'm from ireland,

cheers

Yes, bottom of the nearside rear light cluster.

However, I found it didn't earth mine well enough, so I picked a nice bit of boot floor, drilled through, took it back to bare metal and used a 5mm nut and bolt to create my own earthing point. Whine from the amp disappered then. Worth trying the standard earthing point first though.

connected mine to said bolt on tail light, all's fine with mine.

I have the same issue with the whine from my amps...Methinks I'll get a new ground point...

Yes its a proper bolt...and you can't miss it!

If was going to be in the country this weekend , I would have offered my services...but I'm not :(

Best bolt I found was by removing the strip of internal "bumper" along where the boot catch sits, and there's a nice bolt under there which I used to adhere my earth wire to. The wire then goes down inside the plastic and pops out at "boot level" for convenience. It was a bit of a pain in the ass getting that bit of black trim out though, but it was worth it for a solid earth point. :D
