Fabia Sport

Based on Classic, but sporty appearance of Fabia vRS, 1.4 16V 75Bhp

Specification Highlights:

Shame the blue's not available on the vRS - I'd have had that...

hmmm so will it have the vrs body kit?

If the vrs came in the met gunmetal grey then I'd have mine in that"!!

Colours: Available in Diamond silver metallic, Black magic pearl effect, Corrida Red and [b']Dynamic Blue[/b]
Denis will be pleased!

Wonder why they didn't use the 100bhp 1.4 engine though?

The 100bhp AUB engine isnt used anymore.

BBZ/BBY 1.4 is 75bhp iirc.

I don't like this. It reminds me of plebs sticking GTE sideskirts and spoliers on a Nova 1.2 "spin" and pretending it's a GTE. It will lower the rarity of the vRS and make them more common and less desirable.

Just my opinion... feel free to feel different :D

@Ross - Smart ****! ;)

@JUT - Hold on while I go and hide the vRS alloys on my lowly 1.4... :D :D :D

Nahh, will be no where as fast as a vRS and will allways be a pretender, wont stop people wanting a vRS.

It's a bit like those pony Saxo Furio and West Coast versions though, with 1 litre or 1.4 engines or whatever they are - it'll make the shape and appearance of the vRS more common and therefore make the vRS less distinctive.

The 100bhp AUB engine isnt used anymore.

Skoda are still listing the new Fabia as having the 100bhp in the manual and 75bhp in the auto?

Cheers

JUT - The fabia vRS will still be fairly distinctive, although that's not to say that Skoda shouldn't use it as a basis for "normal" fabias if it's going to attract the punters... They're only worried about sales, not building the vRS line as something special...

OK then, BBZ/BBY is prolly 100/75 bhp.

Maybe Skoda have kept it at 75bhp to keep insurance down for younger drivers.

Eh? I thought 1.4 16v *WAS* 100BHP? The 1.4 8v is 75BHP...?

just found this piccy ... though not sure if it is actually the fabia sport if it is then its not too much like the vrs

or this one...

or this one : http://www.corbassieres.ch/Sport%20Jaune.jpg

think the front bumper is favoured

Well i would doubt it is the green one with that dodgy boot spoiler half way down... Looks like that silver one could be it, must say nicer that standard but i doubt us vRS drivers have any worries :D

The silver one looks very similar to the pictures on the skoda website from a year or two ago... it shows the optional bodykit for the "normal" fabia, IIRC

Nah two power versions of the 1.4 16v, 100 bhp and 75bhp.

The 1.4 8v MPi is 68 bhp.

And the bodykit is now on special offer from your local dealer.

Yup, I think I posted about that somewhere...

Quite interesting to see how much the bodykit costs the dealer compared with the RRP... :)

He He He He, wouldnt you like to know ;)

rarity of the Fabia vRS,mmmmm, not from the amount of new members with them!!!

My dealer had the leaflet stuck to the wall for all to see the prices...

Still not all that many on the road, but they are definitely becoming more popular.

It can't be the Silver one - that's a Mark 1 (i.e. pre-facelift) - check out the front fogs. The proper Sport will obviously be a Mark 1.5 (i.e. facelift)

The green one is just a modified car and is also a Mark 1 because of the rear lights

Nah two power versions of the 1.4 16v' date=' 100 bhp and 75bhp.

The 1.4 8v MPi is 68 bhp.[/quote']

So how would you know which one you had (other than dyno/checking your papers)...?
