Mitac mio is the 'cheapest' all in one unit (GPS antenna on the back) and is available with various GPS software (Tomtom navigator 3 is the main competitor, and you can pick up free Speed camera overlays). Only has a 300Mhz processor though (which, to be fair, is more than enough for Tomtom).

I think the X50 is the VGA based (640x480) one, otherwise much the same (slight difference in size of course).

Yep, I almost forget 'Hybrid' PDA's (Mobile/PDA), like the XDA. These have a mobile phone with GPRS (always on data access, costed by the byte). Tomtom 3 owners can subscribe to traffic alerts, which are updated on the map in real time (via GPRS). You could do this also with a GPRS-enabled mobile (most are nowadays), and a Bluetooth PDA. Remember, GPRS is normally charged at around

I've just found the Fujitsu loox 610 for

I have a Siemens Pocket Loox 610. Bluetooth and wireless built in. Can take microdrives as well as SD cards. Just been looking at the photos I have stored on my 2GB card, much better than looking at them on my camera's LCD.

I like it, seems to work very well. Was also reasonably priced.
