it does indeed look like it's in a tunnel, was only taken with a phone so image quality isn't great, does have a good "atmosphere" about it tho.

Brian, not managed to try that key trick yet, will let you know when I do.

Those pictures convinced me that I don't need a phone with a camera!

Nokia make good phones, Nikon make good cameras. I don't think I need to confuse the two.....

Phil

MMSing a picture from a Nikon camera is quite challenging though... :D

Rob.

Saucer of milk, table 3 ;)

:D

Hmmm - yes but ....

Compaq make good PDAs, Sony makes good MP3 players, Garmin makes a good handheld GPS, and so on ..... by the time you've got one of each, you need arms like Arnie and a jacket with 23 pockets to carry all your gear. That's the downside.

Right! I'm going to jungle.com to find myself a camera! Any other good mail order sites for cameras that anyone knows of?

Reminded me a bit of Out Run.

Anyone remember it? Or was it Outrun?

Many an hour in the Student U trying to beat the high score.

Happy Days.

:drive:

Jason,

Bought my Minolta DiMAGE from InternetCamerasDirect.co.uk. Good price and next day delivery.

But shop about...!

H

Found this on Amazon - I don't fancy spending

I've used internetcamerasdirect a few times and they've always been good.

Ah, yes, Outrun...seem to recall it was one of the first arcade

games with the "feedback seat". Quite a bit before my uni

days though... :p

True, very true,

I'll still stick to separate devices for now.

After years of using 35mm, I spent ages trying to decide whether to "go Digital" I got a Nikon Coolpix 990 (now obsolete) and I haven't used a roll of film since! Phones just can't fit in a big enough lense for decent quality. Believe me, if someone produced a camera/phone/PDA/GPS/MP

Hmmm. Internetcamerasdirect price was quite good for the Fuji I was after, only three quid more, but a whole load of extras with it. Time to check the bank balance and see if I can afford it...

Dev,

Try www.cameratag.co.uk before you buy - you might find a bargain :)

Hmm - not netscape compatible - have to look at home. thanks for the URL. Bank balance is looking healthy but I have to consider the fact I've just been paid and I'm about to spend a month in France!

Thanks, Rob, for making me feel old.

And I enjoyed PaperBoy as well. Smashing windows and running over cats. :D

I seem to remember that the cats used to make you fall off the bike? What games system was that on? The Commodore 64 / Amiga?

Jason,

It was an arcade game. You had a pair of handlebars with a button to unleash the newspaper.

If I remember rightly you had to get the papers in the newspaper boxes for those customers that you were meant to deliver them to, and smash the windows of the others.

Then, at the end of the level there was a kind of bmx track to negotiate.

I think it was the dogs that knocked you off, the cats just stopped and miaowed loudly to put you off, but my memory ain't what it used to be, so you may well be right.

Classic games.

:D

Try Digital Depot of Stevenage here. Bought a Nikon Coolpix 995 from them last year, plus extra memory and camera batteries. Brilliant prices at the time and an impressive camera still. :D

Yet another thread that's gone off at a couple of tangents - if such a thing is possible.

Try unbeatable.co.uk - its the "Which" site for these sort of things and you can usually get very good deals on their best buys.

Was originally an arcade game as described by Howard, but I

think it's been ported to just about every platform - seem to

remember having it on the Gameboy!

Ah, old arcade games...before the time when it was

unfortunately unbeatable wasn't as competitive as Amazon. Free delivery too. I think I'll just save my money for a while and wait until after France. Some of that leave will be unpaid so I must be a bit of a Scrooge for a while :(
