Rear Bumper Squeek,any takers?

Featured Replies

Vrs Rear nearside bumper squeeks where it adjoins the light cluster, never been molested with (or dinked) Going in for infamous brake noise too!! Am I jinxed?

I had the squeak you describe. Some nurd in a Sierra couldn't stop and shunted my old Fabia the first day I had it. To cure the squeak, I cut a small piece of clear plastic from a blister pack and eased it between the bumper and the body. It silenced the squeak, and being transparent, you couldn't see it. Where squeaks are concerned, a fraction of a millimetre makes all the difference!

Thanks for that, the War Dept has it at the moment,if it comes back unscathed I will investigate further!

Same as Martin, I notice mine when im polishing, can say it bothers me though.

interestging, mine does this too - mine seems a bit worse though as I hear it when moving but only when going over speed bumps in wet/cold weather. I've learned to live with it.

May be able to help..... Mine did the same squeaky rear bumper n/side

took it back to the dealers. The rear light lens needed lifting slightly and

re-aligning solved the problem.
