I'll have the last laugh

Featured Replies

I just hate all the constant braindead remarks you get when you tell people you are picking up a new diesel skoda fabia vrs so im going to take revenge on all these zombies and mod my fab.The question is what are the essentials to do to them.I fancy chipping it,lowering it and maybe getting some good filters etc so it still looks standard but goes like stink.{ Im not a fan of the over the top look } :thumbdwn: .What sort of budget do you guys think for this and what are the best springs, filters etc to go for.

I can just see those cheesy grins fading into the distance already :D .

TBH you don't have to mod the Fabia or Octavia RS to impress people. Let them check out the standard version first.

I reckon a grand for the above.

Get in on next group Jabba buy (assuming it'll be run in by then) -

Oh, and from someone who's owned Fabia/s since July 2001, the insults from mates/family ceases after about... hmmm... Ok, well, it's still going on actually!

Over the top?

Subtle enough and does suprise alot of people. Order of mods if you are that way inclined I think should be chassis first then engine. Brakes (312mm conversion maybe), Suspension inc strut brace and then have a remap.

Mods on my car total around

I really like your car ross. Its definately subtle.Dont get me wrong folks i love the look of the standard car but i think it looks better lower and obviously more power would be good. When i test drove the standard car i must admit the power was awesome compared to the 1.2 16v sxi corsa which im trading in against it.Cant wait to get the car.Ive been nipping the wifes ear for almost a year now.Trust me they break eventually.Hehehehe.Thanks for your help though guys

I'd get used to the standard power if I were you, especially going from a 1.2. I went from a 1.4 clio to octy vRS. Just make sure you keep all 4 wheels on the ground, or wax the roof real good like devonutopia does ;)

I got loads of stick at work when I bought mine.

Now two of my workmates own Fabia's (One vRS) and even my boss has bought a new Octy vRS.

We still take the Jokes but they are now shared four ways. :D

One bloke who always takes the mick has a 1.0l Micra. You learn to walk away and smile.

Cheers

If you want to remain anonymous, then I have Green Panel filter, & Jabba 1 click. Thats all.

I have already had puzzeld looks from a CTR ( could shake me off on the motorway) and a Merc C230 Coupe ( couldnt match acceleration from 60 up ). Both these were on the same journey home from work.

Steve

Jabba 1 click.

One or the other. AmD One Click or Jabba remap.

All i get is admiring looks, and it's standard and will stay that way. I must admit though before i picked it up the jibe's came thick and fast BUT when they saw it the jibes stopped......and turned into admiration.......nuff said.

One or the other. AmD One Click or Jabba remap.

Can you not have both ;), it would be seriously quick then. Imagine how much black smoke you'd get then :P
