Help wanted I am about to place an order in the morning for a new vrs cr to replace my 3 yr old race blue pd but the problem is I have seen some white vrs's and I am now undecided, I was going to go with Racing Blue again but me and the wife are quite taken by the white The question is how bad is it to keep clean and is it worth saving £400 :p

There's just something about that blue that I love.

White is nice - but in our part of the world the lack of sunshine takes away from it.

Race Blue always looks good. IMO anyway

White is really in right now but in a year or two I think it won't be. I ordered a blue petrol vrs and white was a consideration but not anymore. Buy the blue. All Octavias can be bought in white. Blue is unique to vrs!

i love the blue but white does look good , but round by me there are a lot of white octavia taxis around :no:

The white looks better than the blue, but it still doesn't look anywhere near as good as the Anthracite grey

I thought the Candy White was the same price as the Race Blue (i.e. a cost option). I have just ordered a CR170 and it will replace my Race Blue PD. I was looking at all the colours including the grey, but after cleaning my current car and realising how good it looked it was Race Blue again all the way.

i had 2 white Toyota's .... you will be washing it E V E R Y day ..... but who cares. go for the white

Probably get your £400 back at the other end........white can be a very tricky colour to sell. Besides Race Blue is THE classic vRS colour imho !

Don't worry about resale values, go for the colour you want

It looks best in white, all the blue owners know that!

As for keeping it clean, don't all car colours look dirty if not cleaned. Just think how much better the paintwork will be for cleaning it more often as you will be able to see the dirt :yes:

I've decided on white and never considered blue at all. I fancied anthrecite for a while but saw one in the showroom today in white and it looks stunning imho.

Go for Red, you know it makes sense - Actually saw a yellow one in the flesh last week too!

I like the Octavias in blue although I ended up with mine in silver which was my second choice, I realise white is in fashion but definitely wouldn't be my choice.

They do show dirt, they don't show stone chips as much, they do show tar spots, they don't show that haze of dust/dirt that dark cars seem to have.

I am over the moon with white. it gets a LOT of looks.

We've got a Candy White one as a demo and it looks great, even when it's a little bit dirty it still looks cool.

I vote for save the money not having the metallic option, go for white and put the money you saved not paying for metallic towards something you wouldn't normally order like maybe leather or xenons?

White is great! but go for blue...................dont want white becoming the new black! lol

I'd agree with prolfd it does get alot of looks.

I saw my first FL Vrs estate in silver the other day - that looked great - best colour choice IMHO especially if you get the wheels a slightly darker colour.

Having said that, i'm happy with mine - candy white - and 400 quid saved too..

Nice colour but I'm tight with paying for paint as it all costs the same no matter on colour so I always think I'm being robbed!

I've done the same thing, replacing Race Blue PD Estate with Race Blue CR Estate.

I quite like the white ones and combined with a Hi-Vis jacket you're certain to have the outside lane to yourself, but I couldn't choose it over the blue.
