Hi there folks......coming to you from the mid north coast of NSW, Australia. I have a 2009 Superb Elegance 2.0 TDI and have 6000km on the clock. Still getting used to the DSG system, particularly in reverse where the stutter or delay is more pronounced. Got my first expense shock the other day when I asked the dealer for a litre of oil as the diesel has chewed a bit. Cost me $41.50 for ONE LITRE that is around 25 UK pounds - god knows what a full oil change is going to cost (supplied with Audi oil to VW 507 00 sec)

Looking forward to chat and advice about the diesel powerplant.

Thanks

Welcome to Briskoda.

You dont have to go the dealer for oil, any oil that meets the 507.00 stanard will be fine. Over here I pay something like £15 a litre, or slightly more for 2 litres of a lesser brand but still 507.00 approved.

For the DSG, you need to adapt your driving style in a very alien way. When stopped and wanting to reverse on a hill, apply the handbrake and then release your foot from the brake. As the revs drop then release the handbrake and away you go.

gday and welcome to briskoda
