Wow, I would love to get that done, I've got absolutely nothing better to do than spend £1000's creating the ultimate vRS than do donuts all night........

Nice B)

Ben needs to hurry up and do his.

So is that a VRS with 4x4 strapped on or a 4x4 with a VRS lump dropped in?

And if it is in Greece, has it any fuel in the tank?

500hp? :giggle:

500hp? :giggle:

I believe it!! how else could you go round in such accurate circles? :D

Ballcocks.. looks like someone's beaten me to it emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Never mind, at least you've still got a shot at first in the UK. :giggle:

Nice one  if skoda only made a vrs 4x4 :D

that is awesome, now that could tempt me to stay with the vRS. whats the going rate for anAWD conversion??

A shedload unless you can find all the bits at a scrapper. And even then, still a fortune.

what about an engine transplant into a 4x4 octavia??

That's the sensible way to go about it. ;)

had a look on the autotrader website, it seems it would still work out a little too expensive to be buying a car and then dropping an engine and loom into it as well as all the other parts to utilise it like suspension, brakes, engine mods etc.

Hmmm 4x4 mk1 vRS conversion would be easier though. they already do 4x4 1.8T cars

nice! I've actually been day dreaming lately about a R32 style Octavia with 4wd. Big lump, 4wd in a combi shell....................could be a interesting sleeper! :giggle:

In fairness, you did both say kind of stupid / insulting things to him. He might have taken them more seriously than you intended because of the language difference.

I disagree, my comment was said in complete jest, regardless of any language barrier, I would have thought the  would make that obvious! I'm sure other members are guilty of such actions.

Second if he/she did have a problem or issue with our comments why not post his/her objections for everyone to see, rather than sending a PM to foo and myself in keyboard warrior mode.

Finally, a constructive post was all that was needed, not slanderous comments!!

I don't have empty pockets!!! :giggle: that was a joke by the way...............

On a more serious note, the concept is excellent, I can't wait to see Ben's effort.

Maybe I did make some jest on a country that bought into a currency it cannot afford, but at least I am happy to make my remarks out here in the open.

for god sake guys, this is a car forum. who gives two sh!tes about greece's issues with money. this guy obviously has more money than most of us, so fair play to him for having the alls to do a real modifying job.

as for the guy sending dodgy PM's to people. there is no need for that either.

i for one would love to know how it has been done and would love to know the spec hat this guy has on his car. maybe some pics and details on this guys turbo upgrade, internals uprating etc.

500hp is a it of a shout but is achievable, the biggest limit being the low pressure fuel pump.

if the guy involved could divulge alot more info reference the awd conversion etc id 100% appreciate it

Reminder to all:

If you have an issue with a comment in a post, hit the report post button in the corner!

If you have issues with content of PM's these can be reported in exactly the same way (Report button on the bottom left of the PM message) and they will be dealt with on their merits.

DONT start a flame war, or PM ping pong with daft keyboard warrior pish!

Back to topic please.

Thanks

Report function wouldn't work on PM! and FYI, I didn't reply to it anyway, at 37 I think I'm abit above that, if my original comment offended for whatever reason then I apologise.

As Si mentions it is a fantastic motor not sure if it is the original posters, as his signature says 'Blue' tfsi?! so I don't think the PM's were entirely necessary.............

Anyway back on topic, version 2.0 UK, owner...............Shark_90?????? B) watch this space.

Watch this space indeed.. once my Audi is back on the road then the wallet-emptying project will commence!

PS. Anyone want a remap, I need to sell a few! :giggle:

Ben to be honest i wouldn't bother.

I thought about doing the 4WD conversion a couple of years ago however as you know you need deeeeeeeep pockets.

Skoda are bringing out the Superb in a 2.0TSi and i would imagine that will come out in 4WD

Surely Power mods (& maybe lightening although i doubt it would need it with 500bhp :giggle: ) that would be more cost effective.

The 1.8TSi 4x4 Hatch weighs 1607kg and the Estate Weighs 1629 KG - Only approx 170KG over the vRS

If they can make the 3.6 4x4 hit 62 in 6.5 Secs with only 260Bhp & 258lb/ft (and that weighs 1746kg in the Estate) i reckon you could have an Awesome car even at Stage 2+

Would probably be a better sleeper too.
