After a visit to my dealer, I have ordered the new car. I have gone for a TSI Elegance in corrida red. Delivery expected in about 3 weeks time

He came up with a great deal which meant I had nothing extra to pay, a major win IMHO.

Nice spec, I saw my first FL today and in the flesh it looks alright. I still think the pre FL has more character from the front but Id be happy with an FL with a TSI

See the Ibiza ST is on sale now, it has 50 litres less luggage capacity over a Fab estate and loads more money too... think Ill stick with Skoda!

i think they should have kept the pre fl bumper and only changed the head lights.

Hi just joined the forum, as I have ordered a new Fabia Elegance estate, in the russo red. Its the 105 bhp and first Skoda I`ve ever owned. Very impressed with the build quality and cant wait for delivery. Apparantly mine is at Emdon waiting release to the ship then onwards to Grimbsby and onto Leeds. Had to take what i was given though as there arnt many spare cars about although the factory is working flat out...still seems to be plenty of punters out there willing to buy especially with the vat free deals....well done Skoda

I was lucky that there was a car waiting in the spec I was happy with already built and waiting. Dealer was surprised! I would have been looking at a 12 week wait otherwise.

Thanks...in our case a lot had to do with the colour as I took Mrs P along :'( Trust you have yours by now, I`m like a kid waiting for Christmas to be honest...

Early June for mine, so not long now.

This will be my 5th Skoda and a return to the brand.

Dealer has just informed me mine has arrived at Grimsby (at long last) ...been chomping at Skoda on another thread about the delay, appears they dont update their computers systems as often as they should which adds to punters annoyance...anyway big smiles as it should be in my itchy little hands early next week

Next tuesday is collection day I'll get piccies!

Picked the car up this morning and all is good

The ride is good, it's quiet, and that TSI engine is brilliant! It really does go well, I think it's as quick as the 2 litre Coupe On the 38 mile trip home, it averaged 43mpg with 3 people in it. I'm still fiddling with the driving position to get it just right, but it's very comfy already.

Every time I see a red one I wonder if I've made the right choice of colour (White) :S Mine is being built this week

I think white looks great too TBH, it was a toss-up for me between the two colours.

One question - were you expecting some silver trim on the interior door handles and around the vents? The brochure we used to order ours a couple of weeks ago said it had some silver trim inside. I wonder if ours is the late 2010/2011 model.

I drove a brand new 1.2tsi Elegance yesterday. It had black door handles and trim - not the silver. It looks less tacky, but the door handles are extremely flimsy.

I wasn't expecting any silver trim, I think I prefer it without TBH, too much of that silver and it looks like a cheap laptop :S . The interior door handles do feel a bit wobbly, but I'm sure they'll be fine.

After driving the low-to-the-ground Coupe for a year and a half, it feels like I'm driving a van but there's not a lot of body roll and plenty of grip

Considering a P/X deal on my wife's Corsa (current model) for an Elegance spec 1.2TSI (85) while these offers are still on the go. Trouble is deciding on colour as I'm loathed to pay extra for paint.

Already have a Corrida Red Yeti but I also like the Fabia in the same colour Not so sure on the Candy White or the recently introduced Pacific Blue; might end up with two red cars on the drive if I go for the Fabia deal

Yellow is also a non-metallic I believe

Thanks for the thought guys; did have a yellow Fiesta in the mid 80's, although not quite as bright as the Sprint Yellow.

Talking about charging for non metallic the Corrida Red is a cost option in Germany; on the Yeti anyway, not sure on the other models
