Chris Evans - More money than sense?

Featured Replies

Mr Chris Evans has just paid £12 million for a vintage 1963 ferrari 250 GT.

Quote from the Telegraph:

"The Radio 2 DJ, who took over from Terry Wogan as the station's breakfast host, spent £12m on the vintage Ferrari 250 GT.

The 44-year-old, who is known for his admiration of expensive sports cars, sold three Ferraris from his collection to pay for the 1963 model, the Sun claimed.

The car cost £6,000 when it was first sold 47 years ago.

Evans posted a picture of his latest motor on Twitter with the caption: "The new one has arrived."

Only 36 of the 174mph top speed racing cars were made. The car has five manual gears and does zero to 60 in 6.1 seconds.

Earlier this week it was announced that Evans had beaten his predecessor, Sir Terry Wogan's record for the largest every audience for a British radio show.

His Radio 2 show averaged 9.5 million weekly listeners in his first three months in the job – a rise of almost 1.5m on Sir Terry who stepped down in December after 27 years."

My question is does he have more money than sense?

He bought that about a year ago i think,

Makes his money from Ginger production,

Good luck to him.

just been discussing this on my other forum emoticon-0140-rofl.gif ...

I'd have paid £12,000,001. I mean...just look at it.

What do you expect - he's a ginger ! :dull:

nice car but its not worth 12million imo

12mil for a GTO sure, but not for a California.

Said he sold 3 other Fezza's to pay for it. Didnt say what ones though.

And yes, GTO worth every penny.

I believe the last one that sold went for 5 or so more million dollars.

The GTO is more than worth twice a black Ex James Coburn 250 GT SWB California.

But they are all pure fantasy
