Same capacity fuel tank is used across the Fabia range... If you really need more fuel capacity sure you can get a fuel tank which mounts in the boot.

Steel Gerry can is the safest approach I would of thought. Other wise I think you'd be into custom built affairs in shiny materials that motorsport teams use...

They do seem to run on fumes, Neo_Vr's light was on for a few laps around anglesey, guage not moving 5miles left...managed 20 or so on a dual carriage way before we got to a fuel station.

Just a few cm inside the fuel filler is a black knob sticking out. After the tank's full use the nozzle to hold it down & "hey presto". It allows you to put fuel in the "expansion" area - so I only use it when I'm driving >50miles after filling up. Common to all VAG cars I believe. Strongly suggest don't use it then park in sunshine !! Might find car in a pool of fuel several hours later !!

Also be careful, with fuel at the moment, lots of syphoning going on at the moment. Mainly happening with commercial vehicles, a few bus companies have had fuel syphoned out of their tanks recently. Guess it's got to that point where scrotes, don't want to pay it nor do they want to be caught on camera nicking fuel
