Featured Replies

Pity that new Skoda Roomster isn't due out sooner (2006) as that looks a damned tasty and different option..don't know about the 7 seater side of things for that one though..option p'raps?

Off topic, but thanks for the dental advice Aaquil, refilled but still hurting..looks like an extraction is coming!

The ZAfira GSI is pretty nice, and really quick, but I found the seats a bit narrow for my liking -but I'm a big bugger.

Talking of Courtenay Sport, I see they can chip my Signum to 200bhp+

Hmmmmmmmmmm

Phil

I think that Zafira Gsi looks well pimpin.... there was a nice one on some stand at Trax this year.... can't remember the stand but it had the specs and stuff and I remember thinking... that's the car i want to get when I've got kids n'stuff... nice quite comfortable drive to skool then I can take it out for a blast at the weekend with a cuple of 15" in the back pumpin out some phat tunes..... lol

Have always liked the Zafira GSi and if i decided i needed the extra space due family etc then it would be on my list.

especially in the Electric Blue or Black with Tints, very smart.

Thanks Darren keep me posted be as critical as possible I want to know what I may be letting myself in for!

As question above. Does anyone have one or experience with one. What is the tuning potential and are they attractive to scumbag thieves? How much power can you get through the front wheels (tuning wise) before it get dangerous. I want a fast' date=' nice 7 seater so I guess this is the best choice...right? What about insurance wise? You see there may be an Aaquil junior on the way!!!

Any input will be appreciated.

I have driven the 1.6 and 1.8 petrol versions. Nice cars. Do not handel like a van at all. The 2.0 Turbo is faster than an Octy vRS. If you need the seats go for it, but be aware it is being replaced next year.

Thanks for that William.

BIT off topic this...cars/teeth?

He said that I'd just have to see if it settled down. If not EXTRACTION!!!

Was bad last week...ever tried sucking a T bone steak....but it's fine again now thanks....shouldn't have said that  where's the paracetamol for next weekend?

Hey talking Zafiras, have a look at DonkeyOatys old thread currently up and running...he's got one but it's had it's problems apparently.

Where is it Colin can you do me a clicky thingy for it. I hope the tooth settles down. Keep me posted. Did he not suggest Root Canal Treatment? If not it may not be suitable for it.

All the best

Aaquil.

  • 2 weeks later...

Aaquil picked up my Zafira on Wednesday and first impressions were very good, smooth and punchy came up the m/way with c/control on and basically getting used to it.

Had it for a few days now and it is still making me smile so thumbs up in every aspect, the handling could do with beafier ARB's but not bad all the same.

The one I have is an 02 reg and I picked it up for just under

Sorry Aaquil, don't know how to do that, apart from go into his profile, click all threads started by him, scroll down 'til you find what looks like it and there you'll have it.

Probably not the best of threads for a Zafira review on reflection, as it got a bit silly as it went on....ok I'll hold me 'ands up too  ...

Think the main problems were more main dealer related than car TBH.

Thanks for the replies (Colin and Darren). I'm happy you are pleased with your Zafira...how is it off the lights and in the rain etc. being FWD. Colin how's the tooth I hope its better.

BTW WEBSITE looks well cool now.

Off the lights once the TC as settle it will beat most hot hatches...golf gti and the like.

In the rain it is as good, the driver aids cannot be switched off which is not the worst thing in the rain as it as alot of power through the front wheels and you may think it is big but it still wheel spins in the dry with the TC.

Alot of fun and in comfort especially with the std Recaros up front try go for the full leather cos i dont think the half leather is actually real leather...?

Cheers

Darren

Still smiling:D

Its quite a simple wiring job to make the Zafira GSi t/c switchable.

My mate Matt's very shiny engine bay...

My friend has just got a Zafira as a hire car for a while (1.6L). He showed me the rear 2 seats that fold up into the floor. He stated that they are okay for young children but probably no good for adults due to lack of legroom. He reckons its not really a 7 seater. Any comments guys...what do you think?
