FIRST SERVICE OIL CHANGE ADVICE

Featured Replies

Hi,

My Superb 1.9TDI PD DPF come to first service interval.

So the main service will be just oil change & safety inspection as I can not see anything else requiring by service book.

The dealer saying they using: Mobil 1 5W-30 for DPF car "or they use some cheap oil as I can not check"

Confusing about safety checks as how they check just tick the boxes or really checking the car.

How to test them ? does it job done proper

Any review on this Mobil 1 5W-30 oil any good or bad.

THANK YOU

Mobil1 is an iconic example of a true synthetic motor oil. It's genuinely used by lots of competition cars using production-based engines (I suspect more use it than any other oil).

Most of the checks are checks, eg brake pad and disc wear.

Mobil #1 "esp" 5W-30 full synthetic oil is approved by VAG for all VAG cars and meets VAG specs 504 for petrol engines and 507 for diesels with or without DPF. This oil can be used for either fixed or variable interval service.

Mobil is a respected lubrication oil manufacturer and this is the highest spec oil demanded by VAG. Many F1 teams use Mobil oil for their F1 cars.

ASDA now sell this oil for £32 for 5 litres.
