Yo,

What is the estimated 0-60 time on a remapped vRS at 170bhp? Anyone know?

thats not an easy question to answer...too many variables and the bhp is not a deciding factor of 0-60mph.

All depends also what the remap is like and othermods.

To hazard a guess it could be anything in the region of 6-9 seconds.

I would say around 7.5 secs if its bone dry and you can get the power down!!

Obviously theres gona be some numptys coming on and saying you can do it in 3.5seconds lol

3.5 seconds

:giggle:

if it helps my fabia can run a 15.1 on a quarter mile it has 340ft of torque and 175 bhp thats doing a second gear launch tho

SECOND GEAR!!!!!

Do I smell clutch??? :giggle:

1/4 time & 0-60 sprint time

Inters4th.jpg

The graph of 0-60mph with of course a 2nd gear launch

Inters4th60.jpg

0-25mph in 1second FTW!

5 secs to 60? niceee what power u running?

PD130 ASZ in a Ibiza however.

At the moment it has 27bhp and 61lb.ft... however when it was at GTi Inters, was runnin 225bhp and 360lb.ftish with supporting mods :)

So yeah not remapped, to answer the orginal question, I ran a 14.73 with just a remap, never did a OFFICIAL time 0-60 but id guestimate 6.5-6.9's with abuse. Mid 7's for normalish launches.

You have to bear in mind that the magazine test results, and those quoted by Skoda in their literature, are achieved with two 80kg adults or the equivalent weight on board.

Autocar did 8.2 seconds in theirs and I've yet to see a standard rolling road result for a BLT engined vRS that was putting out less than 140bhp, many make 145bhp and a few do over 150bhp as standard.

You're never going to get fantastic 0-60 times in a vRS as you need to change gear twice unless you start in 2nd and for that you need huge torque and an uprated clutch.

Where the vRS excels is in the real world where your overtaking exposure times are very low compared to similar cars because the in-gear accelleration times are superb.

For pub-talk purposes, 7 seconds one-up would seem realistic for a remapped car, something between 7 and 8 seconds for the car with two 80kg adults aboard.

Not really, 335D with a remap will pwn it, with ease.

Oh dear, yet another pointless 'willy waving' thread :giggle:

OK, quick for a 2.0l diesel with only one turbo? And it is still quick by any stretch of the imagination.

Assume you mean 1.9L?

Willy wavers - Stop waving.

Willy watchers - Stop watching the wavers!

0-60 times shouldnt bother you in a Fabia, save your clutch, tires (and yourself from embarassment) by only accelerating in gear :)

Assume you mean 1.9L?

Yes, I suppose I mean 1.9l although the rounding doesn't actually matter that much. And if you're going to be a pedant at least get your units right. As a rule of thumb, if the unit is named after a person, it's capitalized, otherwise it's lowercase.

as opposed to out of gear..? that would be embarrassing

I think perhaps he means with the clutch disengaged - i.e standing start.
