Show me your wheels

Featured Replies

Hi all, having bought my first Octavia a few weeks ago i'm loving it so I've started doing a few jobs.

I've sound proofed the boot, rear wheel arch's and under the rear seat (well nearly, I've run out so waiting for delivery of some more :p )

I'm getting cruise control fitted on Tuesday (loved it on my last car and it's the only thing the Skoda didn't have that I really wanted) and I'm now thinking of

after market wheels, I've got 17'' Zeniths on at the moment. Does fitting 18'' wheels increase the road noise much? and any pictures of fitted wheels to give

me an idea of what type suit the Octavia would be much appreciated

Thanks

I noticed very little difference between 17" and 18" interms of ride, but then the 17's were only on for about 3500 miles

Wheel wise - Audi Calitos (BBS split rims)

Standard 18's

BBS CH seem to be a natural fit with the design language of the Octy 2

I will be using a company in Gillingham called Lepson's (based on the recommendation of another member) price for refurb and then paint/powder coat roughly 240 quid all in, for this you will have to leave the wheels for upto a week, but the job is supposed to be 1st class.

Lepsons are very good

IIRC, I paid 200 for mine from a local place, done in a day inc removing from car, removing tyres, stripping / blasting, powdercoating, remounting and balancing tyres and refitting to the car.

thats not to bad, does anybody know of any pics of race blue vRS's with black or different dark coloured zeniths

As well as the Calitos, I'm looking into whether these will fit over my brakes...........Mercedes S-Class 18 x 8.5

Thats bloody brilliant mate, thats basically the service offered by Lepsons which takes a minimum of 3 days, do you recall the place you used and where it is?

I agree with your comment about the CH's they look perfectly in keeping with the car, they are very similiar to the pescaro's on the ED30 Golf. Out of interest, are your's 19's?

Thanks for the replys everyone. Really liking both Audi wheels but then seen this picture in a link and had a slight problem in my pants :giggle:

It's the offset I'm not to keen on with the standard wheels, I like them to fill the arch's with a more aggressive offset if you know what i mean.

Getting a better idea of which style suits the car though now

Just had the same problem, believe when I say, you will cream them when you see this

Another option would be to add a set of hubcentric spacers to widen the track/stance.

If this still doesn't work run a search for harry_vrs and look for the topic's about his car, as far as I'm concerned one of the best vRS's I've seen.
