Weighting up the steering

Featured Replies

I have been looking on seatcupra.net and it seems that the best setting for the steering wieght the PD Cupra 160 is 1.46 on VAG-COM, what is the best setting on the Fabia, as it does feel a little too light at low speeds and doesnt give enough feedback at higher speeds.

Free bump, I'm curious about this too...

I suspect weighting is a matter of personal preference. And won't it vary to some extent with make of tyre fitted? When I spoke to K some time ago about whether or not the Fabia's steering 'feel' could be adjusted, he did say that the 2 extremes of setting varied between far too light and very heavy.

Fabia vRS allready comes programmed with the heaviest setting as std.

And the coding is different to SEAT's.

While were on the subject, when overtaking/flooring it does anyone else's vRS feel unsteady??? The tyre pressures are correct etc and the tracking etc is ok but the whole car feels so light and only really feels steady again once you are on the straight. Is this a characteristic or should I be concerned?

Mine feels absolutely fine, but I'm not running the standard tyres up front anymore. Even in these recent slippy conditions I am not having any problems.

Its probably me then :)
