Well I Used to have an avensis and a Lexus IS and had to move house because my Octavia was too long , it would have caught the spoiler when the door closed! So just shows what a small car it is!, ended up moving to a house with no garage, never did find one long enough, after viewing 25 houses! Can park 3 cars on the drive though

Does seem a bit strange, but the Octavia and the S40/V40 are both based on platforms from the small car sector (Golf for the Octavia and Focus for the Volvo) and pretty much split the gap between that and the large family car sector... So why have the Octavia in one section, and the Volvo in the other?

I would agree with the 'platform'. Isnt the Octavia based on the Golf/Leon/A3 platform? Suppose thats why as all those are in the 'small family' group too
