Just tried to do this mod and struggling like mad,I'm using motordiag komfort manager lite,i've done all the things it says in the tutorial and still nothing i've downloaded the drivers installed them and all the program says is drive does not match .anybody near doncaster that could give an helping hand and point me in the right direction.Thanks in advance

Have you tried using the free version of VCDS first and see if that works?

If that works with the drivers you've downloaded then uninstall Motordiag, re-install it, register it and try again.

If VCDS doesn't work with those drivers either then you've either got the ports set up wrong or the cable is duff.

Hi chicken eyebrow tried vcds and it worked,uninstalled/installed motordiag again and still get drive does not match. any chance any one can put up the link to the drivers for the cable as the one from the tdi forum aint working for me.

Try the drivers on the CD that come with the cable - I don't think there are any other drivers online apart from those ones from the TDI club forums?

Cable didnt come with a cd,its one of the cables from ebay,guess im stuck then.FOOK ME

I managed to get mine sorted tonight. The port settings were different so swapped both to 3 and hey presto..........

I have found on certain browsers/computers that you have to right click and save as to get the drivers to download.

This is done very quickly and easily with VDS-Pro.

A 2 minute job!
