LED side lights

Featured Replies

I too will be using the LEDs for daytime driving, however, don't bother waiting for darkness, the 'Highway Code' states that you have to drive on Dipped Headlights after lighting up time, which makes sense, in fact driving on sidelights is breaking the law !

Well duh :D

+you cant really see where you are going! :D

One point to note- If you have a sunroof you cant fit the interior map lights with leds as they are at the wrong angle, the 12 led centre one will fit though.

I bought some leds for a model with the sunroof and as you say the interior light unit points the bulbs directly to the front of the car, meaning near as damnit no light from the map light as the LED light was focussed that way.

I found these ones http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220636633279&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT 5 SMD LED in the form of the w5w bulb with LED's mounted at various angles, works rather well in the map lights with sunroof.

Can you put these LED lights in a fabia that didn't have Xenons before? I'd imaigne they are all the same standard fitting? pop in and out for a direct swap?

I dont like the dim yellow I get from my main beams as I cant see much more than what I get from street lights so would like that bit extra to hopefully see more..

The leds linked in post number 3 will fit your Fabia mate, some of the contributors in this thread

seem happy enough with them. as am I. For the money they are excellent value. I've bought 4

sets to date, Changed the parking lights in both of our Fabias and also the interior lights in mine too.

Thought I'd better keep a spare pair in case I need to replace one in a hurry but so far they all work fine

so I may not need a spare for a while, :D

As for your main beams , try Powerbulbs they are a Briskoda sponsor and offer discounts to

Freedom members. In my experience their service is excellent. and they stock a decent range

of products.

I am using Philips X-treme power in my dipped beams.

Osram Nightbreaker in my full beams,

and Osram all season yellow bulbs in my foglamps.

Avoid these if you want them to last. I purchased a set back in March (just because they looked good), it took one month for the little ones around the side to stop working, then in July the main Led then started to flicker.

I have gone back to these, which I have had for years, and are stupidly bright. Probably the brightest single Led I have seen B)
