Collected This On Weds!

Featured Replies

After 6 months of fantastic Mk5 Golf GTi ownership it was becoming increasingly obvious that the running costs (ie Shell V-Power bills!!) was more than I was prepared to pay. Since owning a Mk1 Octavia vRS Estate previously and still running a Fabia vRS for SWMBO I wanted to get back in a Skoda.

Initially I was set on a FL Octavia vRS CR TDi but after a test drive in a Superb CR170 TDi my mind was changed!!!!! A week before jetting off to Spain for a fortnight I left a wishlist with Mitchells Skoda in Chester to see whether they could find the appropriate vehicle for me. Within a week I had details for a car they felt fitted the bill and after a few days of ownership I couldn't be happier.

There are a couple of small issues that I didn't pick up on initially (wheel white worm, passenger airbag light poorly fitting and a bent chrome door trim) that I am awaiting an e-mail back to confirm they can sort but other than that the car is fantastic.

She's a 58-reg Elegance CR170 DSG with full black leather, paddle-shift, rear heated seats, removeable towbar and upgraded stereo system.

The only thing I am likely do is get a Revo re-map just to try to improve power delivery and economy.

Any comments, good or bad, are welcome!!!!!

Looks Superb, forgive my ignorance, but what is Wheel White Worm?

satin blue

Nice car, same color as mine!

damn. that colour is no longer available :(

The wheel white worm is a common problem, especially on these wheels as they are polished alloys and not painted. They need to be kept on top of, if left they corrode very quickly by their very design.
