Dump Valve for VRS

Featured Replies

Hi, i have been looking into buying a dump valve for my octavia VRS, but my friend told me to go for a recirculating valve. I dont no though, is he right? I want a better valve but i also want the noise.

I have found this splitter valve-

eBay splitter valve

Is this a good valve?

Will i get more turbo lag?

Is it a good price?

Any advice would be great!

Thanks

You must get a recirculating DV, a dump to atmosphere one will generate a fault code on the ECU and bring the Check Engine light on.

Hi

Forge 007p is what I use.

They are good cos you can strip, clean and rebuild them, and you can change the internal spring to suit your own engines state of tune.

Bill.

get a forge 007p, works best on these cars.

A forge 007p is what most people have, but if you do a search you will find the splitter one in your link is suitable too.

I have heard of the forge 007p, if you guys think it the best i will look into that one. Any idea where you can pick one up for the best price???

Thanks

It doesn't make much noise though.

If you want noise you need a CAI as well.

Lol, ok mate. I see what your sayin though.

Would this be just as good as a piper-x or a K&N?

This is what i have and it fine.

There is no need what so ever to pay over 100+ for one unless you like paying for a name.

At most you can just put a K&N filter on it.

But a pipes a pipe at the end of the day.

Yeah i no what you mean, they are all the same doin the same thing at the end of the day.

I have jus heard mixed things about different ones.

Billy (billy2981) on here had just a cheap pipe off of ebay but put a K&N cone on the end, and that worked fine.

Although I think he (along with a few others on here) has gone back to the standard air box with a panel filter in it.

Do the panel filters make as much difference as a cone filter, sound and performance wise?

i have one of these on mine, it works well to be honest, hardly any noise tho and i have a k&n panel filter in too
