Golf tdi and Audi a3 tdi drivers

Featured Replies

Can someone please tell me why Golf and Audi A3 TDI drivers

with 140 bhp or less really think that they drive an R34 Skyline or something as equally as fast!?!?

Honestly, they never move out of middle or fast lane without first knocking it down a gear to try and leave you!!

Trust me guys, 140bhp ain't enough!!

Please stop it, and just move over!

i like this lol

they do same to me

think its very funny

Could be they've had a remap, so are knocking on the door of 190bhp and 310lb/ft torque.......which could give a petrol vRS something to think about.

Any number of members on here have run diesel fabia vRS in various states of tune, and some have had dyno readings approaching 200bhp from gently fiddled 1.9TDI's.

And as always, the driver can make a massive difference.

Let's not end up with Octy vRS owners descending into delusion that no other car on the road could possible be faster than theirs please. That's territory is for the Fabia 2.0 owners........

..............and golf and a3 drivers...........!

No only joking, but through experience any PD 1.9 engine will not give the same performance as the new 170bhp CR engine, UNLESS it has been modded to the hilt which let's face it most have not.

Anyway, just an observation!

neva ment in the car!

when i on the bike have 09 plate r6 still some dumies think they can pull away.

Although they may be able to spell correctly and use proper grammar. Postings on this site and others show what a poor job our schools are doing.

+1 You would think if someone has a gripe, they would at least make the effort to use proper English.

I'm assuming the 'show what *AN* poor job our schools are doing.' was deliberate?

What are you on about?

Are you the English language police?!

If the guy is riding an 09 plate big bike, I very much doubt he has just left school!

Go back to www.boring.com if all you want to do is criticise.

It's a car site not a grammar and punctuation site!

hang on...a diesel Octavia is now considered quick? when did that happen?

When they produced one that goes quicker than the MkI Fabia vRS! :)

I agree about the A3 drivers. Doesn't matter what engine they run, even the lacklustre 1.6. Perhaps they believe the money spent on their overpriced vehicle makes them king of the road!

quicker than a mk1 Fabia vRS? how on earth is that a legitimate yardstick.. I find most VAG diesel drivers think they're driving fast cars and refuse to move

I don't get why people get 1.6 Audi A3's. What is the point?

Your not an ST driver are you??

Posing. Fashion. Badge over performance.

Brilliant

Actually I reckon the 1.6's are a good buy. I like petrol engines though so I'm biased.

And the 170 is any better ;)

Seriously though, if you want to talk about real kn0bheads on the road, how about the 1.6 Golf/A3 drivers or better still those with a golf GTI with the 2.0 engine in it.

Some are so stupid, they have even put a 2.0 to go with the GTI and try and drive like they stole it. That's great when you are pulling away in top and still catching them.

Honestly, they never move out of middle or fast lane without first knocking it down a gear to try and leave you!!

Could it be that they share the same attitude to 2 or 3 lane roads as yourself? This mythical 'fast lane' is not mentioned in the Highway Code.
