My Dirty diesel

Featured Replies

yo! had my fabia about 4 months now so thought as id made it look a little more like 'my own' with the weitec coilies/new rims pressed plates etc, id post couple of pics up [even tho there only off my phone emoticon-0136-giggle.gif ] done a couple of bits n bobs myself as you can see on the outside and a couple under the bonnet that were there from the previous owner [pd160 intake/k&n] overall pretty chuffed with the car and its economy [seeing as that was the main reason for its purchase] anyway see what you think

cheers mark emoticon-0148-yes.gif

cheers for the good feedback guys emoticon-0148-yes.gif

banana - had to use 5mm spacers on front just to clear the calipers, so put 6mm on the rear [for now] was thinking of going a little wider actually, had nearly new set of pirrelli's allround already so thought id get my moneys worth out of them , the rims are 7'' so half inch bigger than oe [does that count as stretched emoticon-0136-giggle.gif ] and unfortunatly the roads i travel on to work are horrendous after last winter so could do with being higher tbh emoticon-0136-giggle.gif ....emoticon-0148-yes.gif

mattievrs - kinda always liked the 'euro' vw look, thought itd be different to try n get a skoda looking kinda euro [without the crazy camber & super stretched tyres etc emoticon-0136-giggle.gif ]

plenty of things i must find time to get sorted, b post decals to fit, paint front grille, etc etc etc emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif

cheers again guys emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Loving the alloys as everyone has said. What are they?

The plates shown above do appear to be illegal (font).

Pressed plates from dubmeister are supposedly legal. Unfortunately police officers are generally of the opinion that if they haven't seen it before then it's illegal, which is quite small minded and stupid. Especially if they're told the law in black and white and are still maintain their beliefs. So you can even get hassle with legal pressed plates. Is it worth it?!

Like it  .

'V' rated tyres though - you'll have the Briskoda tyre police after you :giggle: .

:giggle: Surly V rated is fine as they are good for 149.1MPH (presumably) :o Cant see many Furbys going faster then that :D

But I surpose an even higher rating is better as the tyre is a bit stronger? :S

Absolutely fine, mine had 'Vs' on the rear when I bought it - did 5,000 miles on them and lived to tell the tale. However, not everyone on here agrees...

hadnt even noticed the tyre rating, tyres came on the oe rims, didnt buy the car to be thrashing around at breakneck speeds[dont get 50mpg doing that!emoticon-0136-giggle.gif ]..... so hopefully be fine emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif
