Is it a 2005 model? How can I tell?

Featured Replies

Just got my wonderful black VRs Furby a couple of days ago. I want to know If I have hit lucky and got a 2005 facelift model (Good to know for the future) but I need pics to tell me how I will know.

Any ideas?

Does you Fabia have rear door pins or blanking plates? If blanking plates then it a facelift model.

Sorry what do you mean by rear door pins? The little chrome pins that pop up on the front doors when they unlock?

Because mine does not have them on the rear doors.

good chance yours is a 2005! Rear lights are different. Compare them to an older fabia next time you see one, very slight change but you should see a difference.

So yours is a facelife model.

Thanks guys. It seemed like an **** of a question but needed to know. No wonder the salesman was not smiling much as I was able to knock over

Rear lights are smooth and flat, pre-facelift lights are raised. Shorter fatter rear vRS badge.

Can you not just check the VIN? Is it the 7th figure in from TMBS that is the year?

Easiest way.

The facelift rear lights have a 'c' (on the left), (backwards 'c' right) shaped clear section.

The older model had two seperate clear sections top and bottom

lift up it's tail and have a look, it works for pets!! :D
