Hello friends old and new,

Funky J here (Known to my mates as Andre!!). Glad to be back after many years away from the fold.........I was reminding myself earlier about the early days..before Briskoda when Colin and Ian had an idea......as a few of us early RS fiends were still living on VWVortex...back in 2002.....

We organised a meet soon after when Colin and Ian started Briskoda...a whole..wait for it...4 of us turned up...me, Manny O, John & Des........back then an RS was a seriously lesser spotted beast.....how things have changed.

Scary and here we are in 2010. I am glad to say that I am back in the fold having just bought an 07 Race Blue VRS Diesel 170PD.......I was wondering what happened to my ole motors 1st one being a Silver VRS reg OU51DZB and my last (which was Des's originally) VRS Black Magic GK02ZYX...pretty easily distiguished by the genuine Octavia Kevlar rear wing (which went on Des's car)......

Since departing from Briskoda I have had a Cupra R 225 which was sadly lifted from me by several unpleasant gentlemen who broke into my house and took my keys along with the car...not pleasant and a Ford Mondeo ST 2.2 DIESEL and now back with an RS again!!

Anyhow..hope all is well on here.

Hey Andre, how goes it. I am still around as well, and still in a Skoda only now a much bigger one.

Not sure on your old cars though, you could always see if they are still insured or taxed.

If your old black VRS was the one Des had before he got the red devil I think it originally ended up being sold to Andyrew in Essex. Had a GT28 conversion IIRC :S

Yes that was the one, Andyrew bought it off Des after you sold it to him, he did a GT 28 conversion etc, and then letting a mate of his drive it in the rain , it had a difference of opinion with a tree, the tree won, and the car was broken and sold as parts by Andyrew, so its RIP for the black one.

Alas it is R.I.P. then.....I feel most sad, twas a grand motor was that. Did me proud and was a total minter when I got rid of it, even if it had a few miles on the clock....gone but not forgotten....sigh...

The RED DEVIL is about to rise again, faster than before, was fishing with Des in the week, and I think he is going to get in touch with you soon.

I know how you feel about your car being written off, I had the same, owned it for over seven years, sold it, and it was wrecked within a short time by the new owner, so another RIP.
