i know how you feel mate ,its like my deal said if there is one car ready to ship over they will wait until there is 1000 to move first so its pot luck i think .what did make you change your wheels i have seen the dark chrome in the flesh they have the nice black to go with the black roof and the bling to go with the front grille and when they are turning they look mint .we are like to children waiting for christmas morning :D

I saw the wheels on a vRS at the dealers and found that the dark chrome alloy wheels have 'anthracite' inserts and not black!

In my opinion, they don't match the roof and decided against them in the end. I also felt I didn't want to have too much darkness overpowering the white and having the standard alloys gives a nice balance. See the first video link , you'll see what I mean by the wheels.

I'm sure you will be happy with your wheels ,everyones' tastes are different.

Here's a little treat for you, what we're going to expect from our pocket rockets :giggle: I think we're going to have a lot of fun at the lights, it might hit us in the pocket, but to see the looks on peoples' faces as we wave them goodbye will be sheer satisfaction

Also...........you can see the standard alloys if you click on the next link, and they really don't go at all well with the rallye green!

:) Such is the desperation and impatience, I've now become a geek viewing the shipping times from Emden.

Well, as far as I can see, anyone having their car built week 37, there are 4 ships with times as follows:-

Emden to Grimsby:

ISAR 15/9/10 @ 21.00 hrs

WESER 17/9/10 @ 11.30 hrs

TENERIFE CAR 15/9/10 @ 22.00 hrs

CITY OF AMSTERDAM 17/9/10 : 6.00 hrs

Does anyone have any idea how long it takes from UK port to dealership? Getting excited now :)

I doubt they'll sell many red ones, red has had it's day.

Not really had an answer to these questions.....

2. Does the vRs come with mats like my Octy vRS did?

In answer to 1, no it doesn't come with a cable, I had to buy one seperately, this was about £26 I think!

I bought MDI cables from E-bay, cheapest I found was £3.99, but I have seen them since at £1.99.

A VW, Skoda or Seat MDI or Media-in cable is what you need to search for.

The ones I bought were originals in VAG packaging and they work fine.

However other members have since pointed out that the VRS brochure/pamphlet states "MDI (Multi-device interface and cable - for connecting MP3 players, ipods and audio equipment".

These guys have successfully used this evidence to get freebie cables from dealers!

I will be pointing this out too!!

So will I tomorrow morning the vRS brochure says " MDI interface with cable"

John

Will also mention this when I go to see the dealer on Saturday.

The dealer said it does come with the cable and they had some in stock if needed.

John

Have been down to the dealers today to part with my old car and the good news is my vrs has been built (week 38) and should be herein around two weeks. Also asked about the mdi cable and the dealer claims these do NOT come with the car :(

Bit of confusion over the cable - my dealer said they would give me one - I have dealt with them for many years - so perhaps it was a goodwill gift ?

Why has this moved up any reasons?

No reasons given

Dealer`s told me that the car I have provisionally ordered to replace my Elegance (after finding out it as no options on it at all despite being told it did) is due building in wk 47.

Gone for less options than most on it though -

Black Magic (as our Superb looks awesome in that colour)

White wheels (off my exisiting car)

Cruise Control

Parking sensors

Already got an MDI cable in my current car so dont need that!
