VRS Towbar Help!

Featured Replies

I would like a towbar on my Fab VRS. I know that this has been on before, there is some info, allthough a lot of it is conflicting. I have tried to contact men who have claimed to have fitted said device, with no luck. It must NOT cut the bumper. An I only want single electrics plug in please. Someone make my Xmas for me   RR

The only one i've seen fitted had a square cut out of the underside of the rear bumper skirt to allow the electrical socket to rotate out through.

This hole is not visible from the back (but is if you lie down under the car!)

From what I can remember it was a standard skoda towbar with a single swivel electrical point. The toe bar was a fixed type, not a removable one.

I know this doesn't solve your problem, but this is the only one i've seen - looked good, as the only thing showing was the toe bar hook - If you like that sort of thing!

Personally i'll use my wifes car rather than cutting mine!!!!

The very few people (maybe 3 or 4) on here who have fitted towbars to the Fabia vrs have had to cut a small section out of the underside of the rear bumper.

A hole underneath is ok,some I have seen have a big chunk out of the bottom edge. They usualy have the angle iron, and bolt on towhitch. The swan neck ones look ok you cannot see the cut out from behind.

I though someone mentioned it was illegal to have one on the Fabia vRS for some reason. Something about EU law.
