Any one else read the test report in Motoring section of the Telegraph 18/12?

Think they liked it!

..."it's a bit of a looker"

..."inside it is even more impressive"

..."it's simply brilliant"

..."it's simply a nice place to be"

..."the DSG is is brilliant and for less of a premium then any other VAG product"

..."the style and build quality has leapt forward almost beyond recognition

..."Skoda hasn't just caught up, it has leapfrogged lesser opposition to be an impressively credible alternative to anything in this market sector"

"We like...more or less everything"

Available from February 05, with a 4x4 version following a couple of months later.

1.6 and 2.0 litre petrol versions,1.9 TDi 105bhp and 2.0 140 bhp

Funnily enough there's a test report on the Audi A4 alongside this article, great car no doubting, only still no DSG available as yet, and ride a bit questionable.

What struck me though, was the front end appearance comparison. having the photo's together

Skoda looks classy and unfussy, the Audi is...well in my opinion pig ugly. Why are they all going for these humongous gaping gobby grilles that incorporate themselvesi nto the bumper? personal taste thing I suppose.

Having seen the Octy estate a few months ago on Spanish plates one early morning it is nice. However, it is very Volvo ish, but the rear lights with their C shape are very classy and very visible when dark.
