who knows peugeot's????????

Featured Replies

hi all,

A friend has asked me to post a thread in the hope that they may be able to solve a problem with their car. It is a 1999 peugeot 306 1.9 turbo diesel estate.

For a while now ( couple of years!!) the stop light has been coming on randomly for a few seconds. The fans also kick in when the car has only done a short journey.

Could there be a sensor fault with the stop light as surely if there was a serious problem like the engine blowing out it would have happened by now. Has anyone had anything similar or could it be a common peugeot fault?

Thanks

Funnily enough pixi, our family hack...a Citroen C5 granted, but part of the same outfit..PSA..,has started showing 'check coolant level' and 'STOP!' every time it's started up from cold.

I've checked the level and it's full. Got me baffled and so I'm going to have to go into the main dealer to have it looked at. 'Airbag fault' is another one that crops up now and again too. Flamin' PSA cars.
