I've fitted the cable through another enlarged hole i know i shouldn't have drilled but i was getting fed up by the lack of progress i was making today :(

The hole/grommet is behind that plastic trim, not seen that bit of trim before TBH but there you go.

Thought you used TA, its not plastic, its metal, and it looks pretty solid. I'll have a look tomorrow though.

In the mean time i've gone through the rear washerjet grommet

I took that route a John did on his Fabia and it worked well.

Yeah yours looks completely different than mine - how odd :confused:

The washerjet way seems to be pretty good, i did have to expand the hole and change the grommet though, plus i'll squirt some silicone down there just to be sure its a good seal
