Why You Don't Put A Telephone Pole On A Rally Course

Nothing wrong with that - it should of been in the notes as a caution anyway, a straw bale or two wouldn't of hurt though!

True. But I don't mind. It was fun to watch. Especially the Beemer disappearing into the corn!!!

Amusing, but nothing wrong there in my mind.

Just one of many obstacles on a rally like that. As I see it, it was caused more by people carrying too much speed into the preceding corner, clipping it and then bringing mud back over the road, causing them to then drift/smack into a rather solid wooden object :D

Happens to the best of 'em too

And I'm sure the marshal in the second clip in this series is REALLY, REALLY thankful they didn't arrange to get that tree moved ;)

It is a great way to show the difference between FWD and RWD :D

The BMW going into the field to hide his embarrassment (I think :D) is quite funny though :D

Indeed! The Clio didn't fare quite so well did it?? :smirk:

You're trying to say RWD is more fun aren't you? ;)

Wondered when someone was going to mention that! emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Although i only cringed when the escort appeared!

I am :D

I don’t know if you saw a post I made earlier today? But in it I mentioned that booting my A4 round a left hand bend in the dry produced …………………. BIG oversteer :D I didn’t even had the diff set in its must fun mode (Audi call it Dynamic, but they really mean fun). I was seriously impressed/surprised in equal measure. I think the man behind me thought I had lost the plot :D

That was really sad :( I love old Escorts (showing my age again) as I learnt to drive in one and have very happy memories of my mad drvinign instructor in his Mk II

I've seen that clip before. When ever I go Rally marshalling in forests I always tell spectators, "a tree is your beast Friend", as proved by that clip.

Yep, it's certainly well used Jim. And for good reason! That's very good advice you give

What is a beast friend? :giggle:

I cringed at the Escort crashing, laughed at the BMW vanishing into the crops and was pleased to see 911s rallying.
