Latest news is that the car has crossed the sea and is now domestic. Now the forecast is arrival to the dealer 13:th of December and ready for me next Wednesday!

Spot on the earlier forecast! Just got my winter tires delivered to day and took them to the dealer so he can put them on for me. Now just lets see if that umbrella comes a long or not.

My history in short: Ordered 25:th of September. Latest forecast for delivery: 15:th of December. 12 weeks. That's cool by me...

I was happy a bit to early :'( Dealer told me today new forecast for arrival to the dealer was postponed until Thursday next week. My pick up date will be scary close to Christmas... I do not need this tension right now... :peek:

Hi!

It's me again. The earlier news was about a postponed delivery, close to Christmas. It looked like the dealer couldn't keep his promise from earlier about Wednesday or Thursday. He just now mailed me witch I discovered a couple of hours ago that it was... (drum roll) ready for delivery TODAY! Spot on time from the very beginning. I am impressed from that, regarding all other information that has been around delivery times here.

Waiting is over! An hour ago I laid my eyes on it for the very first time hanging outside the dealers workshop (closed for the evening!!)

The dealer now have a couple of windows to clean tomorrow and it's time for me to clean up some bank accounts...

Hi!

It's now time to close this thread down. Car delivered and checked out. Good job from my dealer! Now I have to learn how to fiddle around with all the extras. Phone hooked up as soon as I told the phone to accept Skoda_BT. It took another confirmation to accept the phone book, but thats it. The rest of my impressions has to wait since I only drove it for some 20 minutes yet. But so far so good... Christmas is closing in you know. But I noted this:

* Sound upgrade, is for this limited experience, still worth its money.

* The car is considerably more "narrow" than my previous Mondeo. That means more maneuver space for me on my parking lot and a "boxier" boot. For me the former is a good thing and the later a very minor point not really bothering me...yet.

* The (dancing) Xenon lights! My old Mondeo suddenly seems to have very poor, yellow, weak lights.

* Other: Cooling liquid is OK for down to -40 degrees C. The car might experience temperatures close to -30 some days during the next two weeks so it's good to know that this is in order. Have to test my heater rather sooner than later then.
