stolen fabia vrs

Featured Replies

Maybe one of the theories above suggesting the thief somehow had a key is true.. but they dumped it for some reason and an opportunistic joy rider realized (or knew) it was already stolen and had an un educated go and that's the reason the ignitions a mess?

This is all very very odd.. and if you find out why and how and it's a "repeatable" technique... with out details, at least inform us all if we need to get our steering wheel clamps out of the shed?

iv had the car 2 years and theres no way the thieves had a key! my best mate owned it before me so i knew it had been looked after and there was nothing dodgy with it! he had it from new and he had it mapped, unsure whether it was de immobilized i seriously doubt it was though, but that seems the only explanation that makes the car steal able , the ecu defiantly hasn't been changed. still all very confusing and im still car less, vauxhall have had it for 3 weeks and not a things has been done on it awaiting a geometry test before work can go ahead! :(

just an update the car has been deemed a total loss with a repair bill of £3400 ouch!! so they paid me off and only gave me £3900 which was robbery again! as i thought the car was worth £5000. So all ended pretty bad in the end!

Did you dispute that before accepting? They usually offer much less in the first instance, but stand your ground and you usually get a better offer

What the helll did they do to it to warrant a £3400 repair bill!!!! :o

I thought it was only a broken window, ignition barrel & some tyres!!!!

Makes me think mines going to be a right off after my crash last week! :'(
