Hi all.

Have a friend who is looking at buying a 52 plate 2.0 Elegance but is a bit worried that the bonnet shut panel (panel between the front wings and headlights) is black and not colour coded to the car and wonders if he should be concerned re accident damage?

I'm pretty sure that's right - why paint a part you can't see (and worse, would show through the grille on a light-coloured car...)

Mine's black too. It also has a variety of stickers on it about the air con and headlight alignment I think. These might be missing if it has been repaired.

Pretty sure they are all black. Mine is black on my Silver octy (2001).
