Waxing

Featured Replies

Thought I'd better get a good coat of wax on my Yeti before the ravages of Winter.

Thought I'd try Meguires wax as never tried it before.

Well, mightily impressed, brought up my metallic black paintwork a treat, really easy to use and not too expensive.

Unlike any other wax I have ever used it doesn't mark the plasticcy bits, just wipes off.

Recommended.

Megs isn't bad stuff at all. Lots of people have their favourites, but the test is, if it works for you and you're happy, then its good stuff.

I use stuff called Showroom Shine.

Its a waterless washing system that's 80% Carnuuba wax and the rest is detergent.

Leaves a really deep shine and takes all the effort out...........................while Kitten heads of into Asdas on Sundays, I give the car a thoroughly good dosing and it beads water exceedingly well

I've been using Showroom Shine for a while too - it's good, but I'm on the point of ordering some Harly Wax.

Macdemon, if you read up on Carnauba wax, I think you'll find Showroom Shine can't contain 80%, despite what they say - it does contain a percentage, but not 80%.

I'm not saying it's not good stuff though!
