Honeymoon

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Well as the title suggests I'm still in the honeymoon period of owning a Skoda and to be honest there's no signs of it ending!

I bought a 54 plate Skoda Octavia 1.9tdi 130bhp which has been fantastic in the last 9 months of owning it. I've commuted daily from Bristol to Newport and it's been a dream, best car I've owned by a long stretch.

Anyways, I do have a small question to ask the members regarding connecting a satnav... I've read up on most of the topics about connecting an additional lighter socket to the fusebox using an inline (?) fuse, I just wondered if anyone had any pics of this process to follow and possibly a good position to fix/locate the additional socket?

Cheers in advance

A happy driver

Hi and welcome aboard.

Hello and welcome.

When I did mine, I took the feed from the ignition-switched wire on the light switch, becuase I wanted the sat nav in that corner and those cables were closest.

Welcome to Briskoda, Glad to hear you are happy with your Octavia.
