Featured Replies

:D oh course we are the "little guys" so we need to make a bigger impression! :P

We need a picture of the roof so we can recognise the "impression" you guys leave in the road! :D

I think you should all turn over[/b'] a new leaf and trade up to Octy's

no pun intended!?!? lol

My slipping clutch keeps me in check...can't even out run honda accords anymore...well I can...just I stopepd at 70 he didn't :(

It is frightfully dodgy out there at the moment. Chap today observed a lorry sloshing it's fuel around roundabouts...suspect he just filled up and forgot cap..a biker is going to love him for that.

Us octies have the sump club... you guys always have to go one better! :D

 humph....some d1ckhead left a breeze block in the road today........hit it ....hard...still unsure about the full extent of damage...but it dosn't seem to be loosing oil...so far

um...not trying to stir it - honest- but there does seem to be a bit of a common theme developing

I know the early Vectra's had a bit of a reputation of being "difficult" cornering quickly in some conditions as I found out on a test drive :D

just a thought....sorry...i'll get me coat

I do hope it wasn't anyone on here, but nevertheless, I feel sorry for whoever it was in the car and I hope they are ok. It's never nice to see an upturned vehicle.

Trust me - its worse seeing it from the inside :o

I have to agree there! :o There's something a little weird about hanging in your seatbelt, the hazards going as the safety engine kill thing kicks in, staring through a smashed up windscreen at some tarmac about 12" from your head. :(

I remember it well

:o it was a long time ago for me but I can still remember it like yesterday...with the added attraction of the sweet smell of petrol pouring out the broken tank :D

what is it about fabia's? never heard anyone mention rolling an octavia

wheelbase

age of drivers

experience of drivers.

lots of novas/corsa/106/ax rolled too... only diff is the Fabia drivers dont die... so argueably the shell should be weakened on sale as it will be bought by a chav..... and if the chavs survive they will breed even more.... so when you sell your fabia pls weaken the welds and deactivate airbags

Also, Octavias aren't rolled because taxi drivers tend to try to get the best economy possible by driving slowly.

I rather suspect it's the Fabia's tendency for lift-off oversteer that is catching people out. It used to happen to Pug 205s as well. Personally, I quite like it, but you do have to catch it quite quickly.

clio cups suffer at this time of year too :) its cup culling season the lack of abs on them doesnt help as they all seem to slide into stuff

oh and with the rears been really light it dont help matter as they just lift and go past you

Subtle Paul ;)

Agree, but at least he comes straight out with what he's thinking.

Monkeyhanger the 2nd.

Have to agree with Paul on this one. Well in someways!! There are alot of younger drivers coming from warmish hatches with drive totally differently to the fabia. For one the diesel until delivers power in one great big lump unlike petrol cars (taking into account most come from n/a cars). The fabia isn't my first diesel so I'm used to it but it's still miles of my first diesel in terms of performance!

So for those younger/new to diesel drivers out there please take is easy and respect the car that you drive, if you dont like every car it will bite you back.

Roll call for today...............I'm present and all ok (nearly one less after a merc pulled out on a roundabout last night)

Ditto - but at least the ABS seems to be working! :D

Chris

Roll call? Unfortunate phrasing :D
