Black headlamps, black car - I think I like them

Featured Replies

I don't know if it will be the same with Skoda but when I had by 'blobeye' WRX Impreza I de-tango'd the headlights which was basically separating the lens from the back and removing the small orange triangular bit.

In order to separate you have to soften the sealer - quite a lot of guys on the Subaru forum put their headlights in the oven for 10-15 minutes but I used a combination of a hair dryer and some boiling water. Came apart quite easily, then used the hair dryer again to soften the sealant when putting them back together.

Might be worth a shot.

If it comes through this year them lights are coming in!!!

Big case of being all mouth and trousers..............what you meant to say is "I might be able to buy them then if SWMBO lets me"

Looks good... very moody. Not too keen on the constrast now though, between the main area of the light and the clear side section that houses the sidelight and indicator.

Interesting what you say about your coded grille too Bryan - was trying to weigh up whether to get mine coded up in black, or Di-Noc it. Might well go for the latter now  Would be good to get a 2nd one to wrap, so if you see any on your travels let me know :)
