Just my opinion though.

I thought that anthracite would look really nice on a black car, but when Brimma did his, it did make them look like they just hadnt been cleaned. I still like the idea though and may go for it, perhaps anthracite 18s would look better than 17s.

I know what your saying about them looking dirty, but if they are done in a high gloss finish they will look spanking! Personally I think the Neptunes look better painted than the Zeniths.

Just picked up mine from The Wheel Specialist in East Kilbride, gloss black looks absolutely stunning, taking delivery of car on Monday, so will post pic of both wheel and car then.....

IMO Gloss Black wheels don't look great I prefer Anthracite every time.

But this is a very personal thing, and one persons pleasure is anothers poison.

You just need to ask for pics of diffeent colours on your colour of car and decide yourself which you prefer.

This car looks fantastic, best looking VRS I've seen, facelift is a big part of that but how nice is it?

I used to think black rims were the way forward, but now I am thinking if I do have mine colour coded (black car), it has to be anthracite. The wheel would definately suit a darker colour in preference to silver.

Oh and is there such a thing as a tasteful front splitter for the Mk2 (pre-facelift)? I think that would be crucial to the cars stance in conjunction with a ride height drop.

Hi Colin, I've got my wheel's on my Gti painted anthracite, Think the colour used was peugeot graphite grey.

You can get it in any motor factors etc, quick pic of the colour for you here, I know it's not a vRS but you get the idea.....

You'll probably find that anthracite is just a rough descriptive term as opposed to a particular colour, and each wheel refinisher's version will be slightly different to the next

Mine are BMW A22 (Sparkling Graphite).
