i'm looking at getting my vrs rims powercoated in anthracite finish too.

thanks guys, yep they are seat wheels didnt want them to stand out as being small (from 18 down to 16) so gave black a go. really happy with the result

This car looks fantastic, best looking VRS I've seen, facelift is a big part of that but how nice is it?

I used to think black rims were the way forward, but now I am thinking if I do have mine colour coded (black car), it has to be anthracite. The wheel would definately suit a darker colour in preference to silver.

Oh and is there such a thing as a tasteful front splitter for the Mk2 (pre-facelift)? I think that would be crucial to the cars stance in conjunction with a ride height drop.

does any one sell that front splitter ? i need one

what does everybody think about black alloys

my new white vrs estate is due to be here before christmas but i carnt make my mind up about having the wheels done in gloss black..............

found a place near me in leeds to take car,they will take of tyres and refit and balance and do front and back in black gloss £300

not really bothered how much it costs more bothered as what it would look like,some body at work as a fr cupra in grey with black gloss wheels and that looks really well.

Horrible, don't do it. Spoil a great car. Hate dark wheels

Me... Prefer Anthracite for the White and now the tyre fitters have kindly left them in a chipped and scratched state I will be investing in the Anthracite way of life soon.

Harvey's! Always found them to be the most competitve and have right tyres in stock but they had difficulty removing the fronts which were filthy at the time and did see them kick the wheel off but with it being so noisy I thought they'd kicked the tyre! Course got home and two great big chips on wheel very much like a steel toecap connection

No point going back as do dont confrontation and wouldnt get anywhere if I did!
